Dancing Into Autumn – October 2023 Update

Events

Some of our asylum seekers organised an event where they shopped, then cooked a wonderful feast that was shared with invited guests. Sound Linc’s drummers encouraged everyone to accompany them in the entertainment by drumming or by using percussion instruments. A fun day was enjoyed by everyone who attended.

Date for your diary – Celebrate the Nations, Saturday 18th November @ 6.30pm

Each year we celebrate the diversity of our community by hosting an evening of friendship, food and entertainment. You are invited to join us, please bring a contribution of food from your nation to share. See our What’s On page for more information.

Tuesday 9:15 am – 1.45 pm
Friday 9:15 am – 12.45 pm
Saturday Ukrainian Hub café 10am – 2 pm

We welcome you to join us for hot drinks and cake. It is a place to relax and make friends.

Dance Classes

Alongside our Ukrainian Hub café, weekly dance classes offer a warm welcoming place for our Ukrainian group to meet. This popular activity has a positive impact on physical and emotional well being. The class is led by a Ukrainian dance teacher.

Parent-Toddler Groups

Our parent toddler groups are running again after the school summer holidays. This is a wonderful space where our little tots have the freedom to explore the world around them while they have fun playing, while mums enjoy a chat.

Wednesday 12.15 – 2.45 pm
Thursday 9:15 am – 11:45 am

Please note we are closed during the school Half Term holiday – Wed/Thurs 25-26 October.

Church Family

Our church family is growing in many ways. This month we celebrated our expected new arrivals, honouring the mums-to-be with a Baby Shower. Our women’s ministry team organised this fun event for the ladies demonstrating how much each of us are valued.

Our Wonderful Volunteers & Generous Funders

All that we do in the café, parent-toddler group and events is only possible because of the commitment of our volunteers and the generous funding from our donors. Our thanks go to them.
