Fund Raising Concert, Indoor Picnic & More Baptisms To Come! – July 2023 Updates

Ukrainian Hub

Alongside the Saturday Ukrainian Hub café, dance lessons and table tennis have been added to the programme to help with well-being. Additionally, on Friday evenings every other week during term times, secondary school students from the Ukraine who need extra help with their studies in Maths, Science and English can come to Jubilee to receive help. A big thank you to the Cranswick Trust and Lincolnshire community Foundation for supporting these initiatives.

In June a fundraising concert received over £300 in donations to help an orphanage in Ukraine. Organised by our Ukrainian friends from the Hub, acts included singing, dancing and music performed by people from the Ukraine and our local community.

The Hub, which is open to everyone from the local community, will continue during the school holidays, please join us, everyone is welcome.

Jubilee Café – Summer Opening

This month we had two baking sessions, making scones and shortbread, giving people the opportunity to work with a professional baker to learn or develop cooking skills. It is a great way to meet new people.

Over the school summer holiday period some of our volunteers take a well-deserved rest. Our opening times will be reduced to Monday, Friday and Saturdays only. Please note, the café will be closed Friday 4th August and Bank Holiday Monday 28th August.

Parent-Toddler Groups

The Thursday parent-toddler group enjoyed a picnic before finishing for the summer break. The unpredictable weather meant we stayed indoors, but everyone enjoyed sharing food at the end of the play session.

The group is now closed for summer. It will open again on Wednesday 6th and Thursday 7th September.

Church Family

We celebrate 9 more baptisms on Sunday 23rd September. It is wonderful to hear the testimonies of how God is working in peoples’ lives and to welcome them into our church family.
