New Alpha Course, Baptisms & More – April/May 2023 Update

#TryAlpha

You are invited to join us for one of the Alpha courses starting in May.

What is it? Alpha is an opportunity to explore life and the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment. Each session includes food, a short talk and a discussion where you can share your thoughts.

This summer we are running one in the evenings, starting Tuesday 9 May @6.30pm, and one in the afternoons, starting Thursday 11 May @ 12:15pm. The afternoon Alpha will have childcare support so you can bring your toddlers with you. Each session starts with supper or lunch.

Thereโ€™s no pressure, no follow up and no charge. What have you got to lose?

Cafรฉ and Easter baking

Opening time changes:
Monday 9:30 to 1pm
Tuesday 9.30 to 2pm
Friday 9.30 to 1pm
Saturday 10 to 2pm

Our amazing volunteers kept the Cafรฉ open for the duration of the holidays. For many, the cafรฉ has become a place to come and chat and make friends, people feel supported and valued. They are not our customers; they are our friends.

Throughout the year a programme of activities is provided. In the lead up to Easter a wonderful morning was spent baking Easter loaves. The best part is to take their bread home to share with family. These fun themed sessions provide the right environment for people learn new skills and get to know new friends.

Parent & Toddler groups

Opening time changes:
Wednesday 9:15 to 11:45 am
Thursday opening stays the same 9:15 to 12 noon

Our Parent Toddler groups resume after the Easter school holiday. We look forward to meeting everyone, friends old and new.

Baptisms, Shared lunch and Youth Weekend

On Easter Sunday 6 people were baptised. Each gave a powerful testimony of how God has worked in their lives. The Sunday School performed a joyous puppet show during the service, they did so well. What an incredible way to celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus.

The following Sunday we came together as a church family to share lunch together. The Youth group joined us as they returned from a weekend away. They had such a great time sharing fun and faith.
As a church we have so much to be thankful for.

Our thanks to SKDC for their support

South Kesteven UK Shared Prosperity Fund grant awarded to replace the air-conditioning unit in a room at Jubilee where we teach and support those from our local migrant community.

Our Wonderful Volunteers & Generous Funders

All that we do in the cafรฉ, parent-toddler group and events is only possible because of the commitment of our volunteers and the generous funding from our donors. Our thanks go to them.
