Easter – The Story Continues

Easter Friday is the day we remember the death of Jesus on the cross. He gave his life so we can be restored to God the Father who longs for each of us to turn our hearts to Him.

The cross is not the end of the Easter story! In his death Jesus paid the price for our sin but on the third day He rose from the tomb having conquered death itself. It is in this resurrection power we are set free, we can overcome the things that separate us from God and be reunited to Him in a loving relationship.
Come to meet with God the Father; he waits with open arms and with a heart full of love to embrace you.

Energy Saving Initiative.

This month we continued to run cooking sessions looking at ways of reducing fuel costs and providing healthy affordable meals. The professional chefs inspired the groups with delicious recipes to make in the slow cooker, and they passed on their tips and techniques. Everyone who took part said the sessions were both fun and informative. Speaking to them after they sessions, they all remarked on the new skills they had learned and their enthusiasm to try more dishes at home. Thank you to Shine Winter Pressures for funding to make this possible.

Taste of Ukraine

This event was organised by the Ukrainian women who have moved to Grantham seeking refuge from the conflicts imposed on their country. Guests were treated to a three-course Ukrainian meal which they cooked onsite. The evening of food and entertainment gave people the opportunity to learn about the country’s natural beauty, and its history and culture.
The money raised through ticket prices and donations raised funds for the charity Frida Ukraine that supports Ukrainian volunteer doctors who provide medical aid to civilians affected by the war.
Jubilee has become a hub where many Ukrainians meet during the week, receiving support from one another and many local organisations. We welcome any new families to come and meet with others.
